The Team Vanity COD UK PC team have come on leaps and bound since joining our organisation recruiting valuable players to get that vital Academy position.

But this week is the beginning of Vanity’s ESL (Electronic Sports League) campaign with their first Match up being up against Well-Known team Fragmasters.

Fragmasters have always been impressive in PC gaming but with Vanity’s High confidence and dedication they feel they can grab the win and build more wins from there on out. The Vanity team have been working hard going though the the maps as a squad for final preparations before the League match which is to be played on Tuesday 10th August.

We questioned Vanity Captain Josh ‘”RyU” Pascoe on his view on this Match up.

So, Your first ESL match-up this week is against a well-known team Fragmaster. How do you see the match going?

Josh: “Well, Germaine and Mark are former dignitas players so it’s going to be one of the hardest challenges we will ever face this season, although they are the high favourites I personally feel we can surprise them as we will be underestimated.”

For those that want to know more about these big games and League matches. could you tell us What ESL is and what are the challenges?

Josh: “Well, ESL stands for Electronic Sports League and is probably one of the most used online tournament websites out there for the United Kingdom and Ireland.”

The challenges that we can come across is being accepted into the ESL PRO series which is a wider range of teams outside of the UK.

Our league currently has Epsilon, Reason and fragmasters taking part so it would be great practise for us if we successfully get accepted into the PRO series to face Dignitas, FnaticMSI, Power Gaming and all of the other Invite teams out there.”

With the recent change in the roster do you feel you have had enough time to prepare for this match up?”

Josh: “Yes of course, With the original roster i wouldn’t of even dreamed about playing fragmasters, it would of been a white wash.”

How do you think this Match-up will go, against Fragmasters?

Josh: “Well I can honestly say we are going to have a rough time against Fragmasters! Although we dont have our strats quite completed yet, with great communication and teamwork im positive we can get a good result, even if it’s a loss we will give them a tough time.”

This Match-up will be a vital point for you guys to show that you are worth the chance to compete against the likes of Dignitas. Is this the moment you need to prove your quality or do you feel that this is to big of a move?

Josh: “I personally would say it is a bit of a big step for us at this present moment in time with our strats and understanding not yet complete. Just with the right amount of teamwork and communication I feel we could give them a shock and pull out a good result.”
